The 2020–2023 yearbook of the MILAB project at the Centre for Social Sciences (CSS) has been published. The publication sets on to showcase the various themes and fruition of the most recent research cases conducted within MILAB, Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory.

The new ERC Consolidator Grant project, WelfareExperiences will analyse how different welfare systems can affect people's mental health and chances of returning to work – not just through the amount of money they get, but through the wider experience of claiming. Dorottya Szikra, Institute for Sociology, CSS is senior country lead on Hungary.

CSS MILAB representation at yet another successful event - Octopus Research Tools (ORT) was demonstrated at the AI & Aut Expo by the team of Bence Ságvári.

New paper by Ana Stojilovska et al.: As essential as bread: Fuelwood use as a cultural practice to cope with energy poverty in Europe has been published in Energy Research & Social Science.

István Stumpf's new book entitled "Paradigm Shift in Constitutionalism" has been published by Gondolat Kiadó.

A new book by our colleague, Csongor István Nagy has been published by Routledge: Csongor István Nagy (ed.) Global Values and International Trade Law, Routledge, 2022.

The Centre for Social Sciences is not operated as a public interest fund and is not affected by the EU Council rule of law conditionality decision linked to Erasmus and Horizon Europe funding. We are able to participate in proposals and receive funding in both of these EU funding programmes without any restrictions.

New paper by Zsófia Papp and G.B. Nkansah: The political component of COVID-19 vaccine choice. Results from a conjoint experiment has been published in Public Health.
