Authors of the best publications of our institutes are acknowledged each year. On 5 March, 2025, Zsolt Boda, General Director, handed out the awards at the annual meeting of the Centre for Social Sciences, followed by brief presentations of the research findings.
We inform our partners that due to a government decision, our research centre was integrated into ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. As of 1 August 2025, our legal name is ELTE Centre for Social Sciences

Eszter Farkas and Anna Ujlaki's report has been published in the volume "Changing Migration Patterns: A Comparative Study on the Movement of People and the Impact for Countries in the Region", edited by Ninna Mörner. The title of our researchers' report is "Between Welcome and Rejection: Hungary’s Overpoliticized Immigration Narrative."
On the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine and the Day of Hungarian Freedom, the Embassy of Ukraine in Budapest hosted the presentation of our colleague Csilla Fedinec's latest book. The private event was attended by prominent Hungarian experts, representatives of the Ukrainian national minority in Hungary and the Transcarpathian Dragons Foundation.
Our director, Attila Papp Z. and our colleague András Morauszki presented on 27 June 2025 in Budapest, at the conference ‘The social situation of young Hungarians in Slovakia in the light of recent research’ organised by the Impulzus Association. Their presentations were entitled:

A new article authored by Ákos Holányi, Junior Research Fellow at our Institute, has been published in the Journal of European Integration (Q1) under the title "Unpolitics, domestic pressures, or else? The opposition of Visegrád Group countries to the EU’s Pact on Migration and Asylum."
An article by our colleague Béni L. Balogh was published in the June 17, 2025 issue of the daily newspaper Szabadság in Cluj. It is entitled: “»Budapest and Bucharest are both the stars of Transylvania« - Petru Groza and the Hungarians”. The article can be read here (in Hungarian).
