Research Interests
Zoltán Brys is a junior research fellow at the Centre for Social Sciences and a PhD candidate at Semmelweis University, Doctoral School of Mental Health Sciences. His research focuses on health sociology, particularly on the clustering of smoking and other health-damaging behaviours in society. He is also interested in sustainability and environmental sociology. He earned his MA degree in 2021 at Károli Gáspár University and was a member of the Eötvös Loránd University – UNESCO Agenda 2030 human ecology research group. He serves as an editor for Lege Artis Medicinae and European Journal of Mental Health. In 2021, he received the Kolossváry Róbert Memorial Award. His methodological approach includes frequentist methods alongside machine learning and network analysis. His Erdős number is 3, and he is a member of the LINK group led by Péter Csermely at Semmelweis University.
