A new €9.75m project funded by the European Commission will bring together outputs from key social science research infrastructures to inform the NextGenerationEU recovery plan and European Union youth policy.

The Horizon Europe research project proposal MORES – "Moral emotions in politics: how they unite, how they divide" submitted by CSS (project leader Zsolt Boda) was successful and got funding. CSS will lead the European consortium.

The annual meeting of CSS took place on 23 March, 2023, where General Director Zsolt Boda presented the results of the previous year.
The scientific performance of CSS kept improving also in 2022.

Zsolt Boda, Director General of the Centre for Social Sciences awarded Best Publication of the Year of each institute at CSS. The papers were introduced to colleagues at the general annual meeting on 23 March, 2023.

The 2020–2023 yearbook of the MILAB project at the Centre for Social Sciences (CSS) has been published. The publication sets on to showcase the various themes and fruition of the most recent research cases conducted within MILAB, Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory.

The new ERC Consolidator Grant project, WelfareExperiences will analyse how different welfare systems can affect people's mental health and chances of returning to work – not just through the amount of money they get, but through the wider experience of claiming.
